Adam Pincus Joins First Look Media as EVP, Programming and Content

First Look Media is pleased to announce that programming executive and award-winning producer, Adam Pincus, will be leading our programming and content division as Executive Vice President. In this role, Adam will manage the overall programming strategy, and the development and production of content for First Look Media platforms and for distribution through partners, including feature films, television, and digital programming. He'll also oversee the content ecosystem of First Look's digital properties.

Prior to joining First Look, Adam was head of North American programming and production at GroupM Entertainment, where he oversaw television and digital content, including television series for NBC and Canadian broadcasters CBC, Shaw, CHCH and others, and digital series for Hulu, Alloy Digital, Spin Media and others. He also worked closely with the firm's portfolio of content investments including VICE, Fullscreen, and Indigenous Media, as well as the development of new financing models – experience that will be valuable to First Look Media's future growth and monetization.

"Adam is one of the sharpest and most creative executives in the business. He's worked extensively with creators and talent, he's got great taste, and his inventive approach and deep industry knowledge will be critical as we roll-out our vision of becoming the premiere platform for independent voices," said Michael Bloom, President of First Look Media. "I'm thrilled to welcome Adam to the team to lead the development of fresh, new original programming while also providing the leadership to execute our programming and content vision."

Earlier in his career, Adam spent many years at Sundance Channel as the head of original programming, on-air promotion, branding and design, and the network's digital presence. During his tenure, he developed and executive produced numerous series and specials, including Robert Altman and Garry Trudeau's critically-acclaimed Tanner on Tanner starring Cynthia Nixon; The Al Franken Show; and the ground-breaking series, Iconoclasts, a branded entertainment project produced in association with Condé Nast Media Group and Grey Goose Entertainment that paired celebrated innovators such as Michael Stipe, Tom Ford, Christiane Amanpour, Brian Grazer, Sumner Redstone and Robert Redford.

Following his time at Sundance, Adam founded his own production company, Hour One, where he executive produced Nimrod Nation, an eight-part Sundance series for which he was awarded the prestigious Peabody Award.

"First Look Media is a unique chance to be part of a new, truly innovative and creative company, and its mission to support independent voices in media is particularly close to my heart," said Pincus.

Adam began his career at Viacom in the New Media, Interactive TV and Interactive Services groups, developing content and platforms for business units including Nickelodeon, Paramount, MacMillan, Nick-at-Nite and the Sundance Channel. His impressive body of work boasts a diverse portfolio of acclaimed programming projects, work with some of the top brands in the world, and a hefty clutch of awards and accolades from his peers in the business.
